Jobs Markets

If we don’t have people working the machine slows down.  When the machine slows done tax revenues decrease.  This is known as velocity in economics and is a very important concept to understand.  It is also important to understand the concept of turn-over job markets.  As jobs become obsolete by technology and development there must be a progression to create new markets.  For example, in the series for the show "Star Trek" there is a futuristic microwave that if you push a button you can have a full course Thanksgiving dinner.  If this concept were to become functional the profession of chefs and cooks would become obsolete.  I would not pay someone to push a button for me like that, at least they would only get minimum wage.  So the people in that job market would ave to go to a new market for work.  This part of the work force population would be in transition, and just like a factory would be considered the "Work in Progress".

Taxes

It was recently brought to the table the suggestion to raise taxes, but let me show the problem with that.  Think of taxes and the economy like riding a mountain bike.  When you travel you go up and down slopes this is just like economic recessions and booms.  Sometimes the road is easy like in a boom when things are going good and sometimes the road is hard just like times of economic recessions.  When you have a mountain bike you can control that gears you use to traverse these different situations just like we can control our tax rates.  If you didn’t understand how this worked I could see how you might want the bigger gear to help you go up a big hill or a higher tax rate help you go through a recession.  But this is not the case because you want momentum or velocity to increase.  Since this is the case or desired outcome it would be wiser to use a smaller gear or a lower tax rate to stimulate economic activity and bring in tax revenues.

Programs

Social Security Disabilitywww.CraigDeluz4Assembly.com

This issue has been plotted on by the very people who count on it the most.  When it was first established it was to provide for the disabled not the elderly.  Then the realization that the elderly who had not planned for retirement had nothing to fall back on hit, and so they tried to monopolize on the program.  With the way the government set up the program it was to steal funds from the very people it was established to help.

2.      Veteran Affairs

a.       VA Disability Compensation

Disability for a veteran is a hard pill to swallow.  Vets put their lives on the line and performed tasks under unreasonable situations for the benefit of their and other countries out of love.  It is hard enough for veterans to be able to deal with being in the civilian world as it is, let alone accept that they are not the people they were before their service.

b.      VA G.I. Bill

This is a great program that follows the reform addressment that minimizes our disabled problems and capitalizes of discount taxes receivable by the disabled.  In other words, it solves problems for disability people returning from service and helps them go on to pay taxes.

When a veteran comes back from service the programs that help retrain them to adjust to the civilian world not only help the vet get a job and be able to survive, they readjust their minds to be able to deal with PTSD from service.

c.       VA Vocational Rehabilitation

d.      Cal Vet Home Loans

State

State Jobs and the Job Markets

All state matters should be limited to minimal State needs.  The function of state government is to regulate minimal functionality for state benefit.  We could refer to the Maslow Chart of basic needs if necessary.

Do we have state security? (Military National Guard) There is a security need to protect our country from foreign enemies at state level.  Of course our borders have a stronger demand on them then continental land locked states.  We also have to be concerned with domestic threats, which is why we do have agencies such as SWAT and a Bomb Squad.  National Guard is also imperative to protect the people in events such as Natural Disasters (Hurricane Katrina, Fires, Floods, Tornados, Etc.)

Do we have water taken care of?  The farmers in California have the most God blessed land in the world.  Now we can talk about inherent responsibilities.  It is a serious problem that we have to say that salmon season had to end so soon because of low water levels.  The bible says water is a blessing from God.  Obviously we are doing something wrong to not be being blessed as a Nation not just a state.  Maybe the fact that we have a baby murdering president in office to represent us a nation is killing us economically, spiritually, and now even agriculturally.  You can go 30 days with no food and you will not die, but try 3 days with no water.  Sure our body produces water on its own but not enough to sustain us.  We are going to be in trouble if we don’t do something about all the problems we are creating for ourselves.

Food, is there enough food being produced?  There has to be an equilibrium level or happy medium found to balance between the water for the wild life that is needed to preserve our eco-systems and the water needed to produce food for our farms.  Since we are in a water budget it would be a good time to heal the land.  We will have to grow what we can, and then can what we have.  A live smarter than we have in the past.  The problem is always the same since the beginning of the corporate entity.  “Corporate farming vs. Farmers” In the bible it talks about how you should grow your crops and it is important to see how we have strayed from that.  I believe that it says the crops are grown in 5 year rotations.  We are given four years to grow and harvest and one to let the earth heal itself, a time to fertilize the ground and prepare for upcoming seasons.  Corporate involvement has some good places in it.  Communication between farmers in the department of agriculture establishes that everyone does not run out and start growing only peaches.  The equilibrium balance establishes a good price between what we are willing to pay and what a farmer must charge to keep growing.  Farming subsidies are very important because without them the farms don’t stay in business and everyone has to eat.  Commonality of interest in a community to eat is a given.  Corporate interest has strayed us from the timeline of letting the earth rest.  The Lord said “If there was anything else I would have told you”, so in our pride of thinking we know better we actually have been hurting ourselves.  This short sighted thinking is going to kill us like our budget.  ?  We did it with credit cards and had the credit crisis.  We did it with Real Estate and are still in a huge Mortgage Crisis.  We did it with our budget and back when Ronald Reagan was Governor of California he put up billboards asking “If not now, When?”  When will we see a big picture?

1.      Welfare- Welfare is a horrible trap if one chose to try to make it a lifestyle; this is a bi-partisan supported ideal.  This has been discouraged with limits for collecting benefits and requirements for entry to the workforce or attending educational programs.  This is a great thing!  People should not try to make being a welfare mamma their final destination point but a situation they arrived at and an obstacle they overcame.
